Church of Uganda Approved for Limited Martyrs’ Day Worship Services Under Tight Regulations

The Church of Uganda has been granted permission to conduct a restricted number of prayers during the Martyrs’ Day celebrations, provided that all activities strictly follow the health and safety measures set by the authorities.
Church leaders announced that only a small group of worshippers and clergy will be allowed to participate in the services. Organizers have been directed to enforce guidelines such as social distancing, hand hygiene, and other preventive measures to reduce health risks.
The arrangement aims to preserve the spiritual significance of Martyrs’ Day while ensuring public safety. Officials emphasized that compliance with the established regulations will be mandatory throughout the celebrations.
Religious leaders have encouraged believers to take part responsibly and cooperate with the measures put in place to protect the community during the event.
