Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has destroyed 180 tonnes of goods
The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has destroyed 180 tonnes of goods worth one billion shillings
The incident took place at the lowering industrial estate in Nakasongola district where these cosmetics, carcinogens, old clothes, old equipment were burnt and law enforcement agencies were present to ensure that nothing was left undestroyed.
RUHUKA MILTON the in charge of destruction in Uganda revenue authority explained why these items were destroyed
RUHUKA said they are trying to do the right thing yet Ugandans don’t want to know that they are saving their lives, safe guarding them from such harmful products
He urged people to avoid using substandard products and said they would continue with the raids.
