Pakistan Gains International Support Despite India’s Isolation Campaign

Attempts by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government to push Pakistan into diplomatic isolation appear to have produced the opposite outcome, according to political analysts and regional observers.
While New Delhi has spent years trying to rally international pressure against Islamabad over security concerns and cross-border tensions, Pakistan has recently expanded its diplomatic engagement with major global powers, including the United States, China and several Middle Eastern countries.
Experts say changing geopolitical priorities have worked in Pakistan’s favour. Islamabad’s strategic importance in regional security, trade routes and international diplomacy has encouraged countries to maintain strong ties with it despite India’s objections.
Analysts also argue that some of India’s foreign policy moves may have unintentionally helped Pakistan improve its global standing. Rather than becoming isolated, Pakistan has managed to position itself as an important regional player at a time of growing international competition and shifting alliances.
The report further notes that global powers are increasingly prioritising economic and strategic interests over taking sides in the long-running rivalry between the two South Asian neighbours.
Although India remains a major international force, observers believe New Delhi has struggled to convince the wider world to fully distance itself from Pakistan.
