Opposition Leadership Bill Sparks Concern as Kabanzanga Warns of Political Consequences

How ever the NRM and Opposition, independents Mps Vow to stop immediately this mean political move despite NRM have the majority Members in Ugandan parliament.

However one may put in consideration of the constitution and the rules
of procedure on the role and functions of leader of the Opposition
as major role and fucuntions of the Opposition is to Keep the government in Check and in consultation with his or her party leadership appointment a shadow cabinet from members of the Opposition in Parliament who shall have portfolios and functions that correspond to the portfolios and functions of Cabinet ministers

The leader of the Opposition shall be a member of the Business Committee, Committee on Appointment and shall hold regular consultation with the Leader of Government Business and the Speaker.

The Leader of the Opposition shall study all policy Statement of Government with his or her shadow minister and attend committee deliberations on policy issues and give views and Opinions and propose possible alternatives.
