Following a dramatic quarter-final weekend in Morocco’s packed stadiums, four continental heavyweights have booked their spots in the last four of Africa’s premier football tournament.

  • Senegal vs Egypt

    Venue: Tangier (Grand Stade de Tanger)

  • Morocco vs Nigeria
    Kick-off: 20:00 GMT
    Venue: Rabat (Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium)

These fixtures promise high-stakes battles as Senegal with a blend of youthful pace and physicality, take on Egypt, led by Mohamed Salah, in one of Africa’s most anticipated clashes. In the second game, hosts Morocco will face Nigeria, a side boasting a potent mix of attacking talent and continental pedigree.

Road to the Semi-Finals

The final four emerged after intense quarter-final encounters earlier this week:

The winners of the two semi-final ties will meet in the AFCON final on Sunday, 18 January 2026 in Rabat, with Africa’s newest champions to be crowned. A third-place playoff between the semi-final losers is also scheduled for Saturday, 17th January
