Uganda Cranes is a goal ahead of Algeria Desert Foxes after the opening 45 minutes at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole in Group G of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Travis Mutyaba’s early goal in the 9th minute has given the hosts the advantage coming to the final stanza of the game well cheered by a capacity all-sold-out crowd.

Mutyaba, who plies his trade with Egyptian giants Zamalek struck a beautiful individual goal past goalkeeper Anthony Manderea via a forest of legs.

Uganda Cranes’ Rogers Kassim Mato and Bobosi Byaruhanga have been booked in the 22^nd and 35^th minutes respectively.

For the better part of the game, it has been Uganda Cranes on the offensive and would have easily extended the lead through Steven Desse Mukwala and Rogers Kassim Mato.
