CSCA BEAT LEE TAEKWONDO CLUB TO WIN 7TH EDITION OF THE KOREA AMBASSADOR’S CUP

CSCA Taekwondo Club crowned the overall winner of the seventh edition of Korea Ambassador’s cup that came to climax on Sunday night at Lugogo Indoor stadium.

The seventh edition ran via the weekend of Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 2019.

The tournament that attracted 15 clubs from different parts of Uganda, saw CSCA Taekwondo Club coming out as the overall champion with elven gold medals, four silvers and six bronze medals to beat her close competitor in Lee Taekwondo Club who collected seven gold, eight silver and twelve medals.

The tournament that had two categories, senior and juniors’ category saw an enticing weekend where players exhibited their talents before their fans and the main sponsors of the event, Koreans at Lugogo as the Taekwondo Federation president kato hakim asserts.

According to kato uganda has alot of talent in taekwondo and they are taking 3 fighters to korea to competite, he adds how the wrangles in the federation have affected the fighters.

The 2018 champions, Lango Taekwondo Club beat Lee Taekwondo and CSCA Taekwondo Club in seniors category when they won four medals, a silver and four bronze medals.



The overall winner, CSCA Taekwondo Club also outclassed Lee Taekwondo in juniors category, when the grabbed eight gold medals with three silver and four bronze medals.

The 15 Clubs that competed in 2019 edition of Korea Ambassador’s Cup;

Lee Taekwondo club, lganga, Tororo Taekwondo club, Oceanic, Pan African, Kole, Makerere, Oyam, CSCA, Tigerwoods, Akalo, Light Acedemy and Aghakhan.

Ali Lubega from Lee taekwondo club was the best player in the seniors’ category while Seanice Namukwaya from Agha Khan was the best player in the Juniors’ category.
