Arsenal Trio Named Among Six Nominees for PFA Player of the Year Award

Three Arsenal stars have been shortlisted for the 2026 Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Men’s Player of the Year award following the club’s Premier League title-winning campaign.

Defender Gabriel Magalhães, midfielder Declan Rice and goalkeeper David Raya are among the six players nominated for the prestigious honour, which is voted for by fellow professional footballers.

The Arsenal trio face competition from Bruno Fernandes, Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki.

Arsenal’s strong representation on the shortlist comes after the club secured its first Premier League title in more than two decades. Gabriel, Rice and Raya played key roles throughout the season, helping the Gunners record the league’s best defensive record.

The winners of the PFA Awards will be announced during a ceremony in Manchester on August 25. The awards are regarded as some of the most prestigious individual honours in English football because they are voted for by the players themselves.
