Uganda’s population to reach 48.2 Million, says report

The Ministry of Health, led by Health Minister Dr. Ruth Jane Aceng, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), has launched the State of Uganda Population Report at the Media Centre in Kampala.
According to Hon. Aceng, the report projects that Uganda’s population will reach 48.2 million people this year due to high fertility rates, with Ugandan women giving birth to an estimated 1.5 million babies annually.
