Kamukama taking oath in parliament
The former principal private secretary to the president of Uganda Molly Naawe Kamukama has appreciated the new ministry of finance monitoring according to her this is a new job and its more elevated than the post she had earlier ‘PPS was a permanent secretary’s job and this is ministerial job so it’s in the way of promotion…’ Kamukama , she said this briefly after talking the oath of allegiance to the parliament.It should be noted that in December president Museveni made some changes in the ministers and molly was transferred from the PPS to the ministry of state for Economic monitoring. While taking the oath of allegiance she has been accompanied by several people including minister of ethics and integrity Rev.Fr. Simon Lukodo.In the same line she has promised to continue with the standing plan for the development of this country but added that there are new ideas which she feels that will be of great to the development and growing if the economy where she thinks that this will be a major factor for creating more employment opportunities.
Kamukama has also urged the public to report all the grafts and corruption cases so that this vice can be brought down “the public has to keep a watch to all our activities…” she said. she further added that Uganda has achieved the middle-income status.
Mr. Museveni has also named Dr. Kenneth Omona, hitherto NRM treasurer as his Principal Private Secretary replacing Kamukama.
