Ntinda: Police Officer Arrested for Double Murder

On the Alleged Murder Incident at Ntinda Police Barracks

The Police at Jinja Road is currently holding Police Constable No. 55295 Adei Alex on allegations of murder involving two individuals: Kongai Babra (32 years) and Police Constable No. 69923 Tusiime Seeze.

The incident occurred yesterday, at approximately 8:00 PM, at Ntinda Police Barracks. It is alleged that PC Adei entered the residence of Kongai Babra and opened fire on PC Tusiime, who was inside the house at the time. He later shot at Babra as she attempted to flee the scene. PC Adei subsequently fled but was apprehended by police officers and is now in custody at Jinja road police station on allegations of murder .

Preliminary investigations indicate that PC Adei and Kongai Babra were previously married but had separated due to domestic issues.

The police have recovered the firearm used in the incident, along with 12 rounds of ammunition. The bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to the City Mortuary at Mulago, and investigations are ongoing. More details will be shared as soon as they are available.
