Miracle Ravens Triumph Over KCCA in Thrilling Women's Basketball Match

Miracle Ravens secured a hard-fought 80-75 victory over KCCA Leopards in an intense women’s basketball clash at Lugogo. The away game saw both teams battling fiercely, but the Ravens displayed resilience and precision to edge out their rivals.

Miracle set the tone early with a dominant first quarter, racing to a commanding 25-11 lead. They maintained control throughout, never trailing in the game, despite a late push from KCCA that nearly turned the tide.

Holding a 19-point advantage at one stage, the Ravens found themselves under pressure as KCCA clawed back to within a single point with two minutes to play. However, Miracle held their nerve, surviving a potential game-tying three-pointer from Perus Nyamwenge that rimmed out in the dying moments.

Mariam Namukwaya starred for Miracle, dropping a game-high 31 points while also grabbing 13 rebounds for a double-double. Akello Winfred also registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Brenda Alyano and Hanifa Namuli chipped in with 13 points apiece.

Despite KCCA’s loss, Tracy Namugosa impressed with 23 points, while Uwineza Ninette (12), Asinah Kabendela (10), and Margaret Baagala (10) also reached double figures.

With this win, Miracle Ravens strengthen their position in the league, proving their ability to withstand pressure and close out tough games. They now turn their focus to their next matchup, aiming to maintain their winning momentum.
