INTER MIAMI WINS MLS CUP

During the course of last weekend, Inter Miami defeated Vancouver Whitecaps by a margin of 3 goals to 1.

Captain Lionel Messi contributed 2 assists and gained the upper hand against his old rival Thomas Muller who had maintained a better head to head record in the past like the 8-2 humiliation in 2020 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup where Germany beat Argentina.

Messi has brought unprecedented success since he relocated to Miami in 2023 and has won his 48th trophy in his career.

The victory was also a farewell trophy to teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba who are set to retire at the end of this season.
