Boxing: UBF To Have Financial Relief Via Gate Collection on national olympic trials

In their pursue to widen their revenue sources, Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) Introduced the gate collection system at Amateur level and it starts with 2020 final Olympic games trials on Sunday 05th January at Lugogo.

The current Federation which is under Moses Muhangi, has been giving their product (Boxing championships) for the past two years at free of charge but they revealed that starting with Olympic qualifiers on Sunday.

UBF launches Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifier “Get off the Plane” Campaign

The Uganda Boxing Federation has launched the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Campaign dubbed “Va Ku Nyonyi” translated as “Get off the Plane”.

The development was announced by UBF President Moses Muhangi during a Press Conference held on Thursday morning at Lugogo.

Muhangi also revealed that the fans this time will have to pay a minimal fee for the final elimination phase for the National Olympic trials slated for Sunday 5th January at Lugogo Indoor.

According to Muhangi, Gates will be open from 12 noon and bouts will begin at exactly 2Pm. Ordinary tickets are for 5000k while those who will seat on the ring side will have to pay 10000.

26 will contest for 13 places, with Eight men and five women needed to qualify for Tokyo 2020 Olympic games qualifiers due to take place in Dakar, Senegal in February 2020
