The Vitality Netball Nations Cup is due to get underway in a matter of days as England’s Vitality Roses are set to face the Origin Diamonds, Uganda She Cranes and the Silver Ferns.
Head-to-head
The Origin Diamonds and Uganda She Cranes have never met on the international stage before, and the first game promises to be an exciting match-up. The She Cranes are bound to show their on-court speed plus an alternative style of play to that which the Diamonds have faced recently.
Despite Uganda and Australia not meeting at the 2023 Netball World Cup, all other teams went head-to-head during the tournament last summer, with England securing that history-making win over Australia in the group stages, in addition to beating New Zealand in the semi-final, whilst New Zealand and Uganda gave each other a tough battle in the preliminary stages of the competition. Coming off the back of a series win against Wales in a recent tournament, Uganda are ready and raring to face the top three in the world. The world renowned rivalry between the Origin Diamonds and the Silver Ferns is yet again going to be a fixture you won’t want to miss. The on-court battle between these two teams is set to be an exciting game, and with it being the first match of the series, it will set the bar high for what is going to be an extraordinary tournament.
Now, all four teams are back in action across two locations, looking for some silverware to add to their trophy cabinets, and there’s still time for you to get your tickets to be be courtside in London and Leeds. If you can’t be in venue, here’s your guide to following the action.
